Eligibility of participants

Eligibility of participants:

(a)          Students who have taken Mooting subject in Trimester 3, 2011/2012 (regardless of results) – COMPULSORY to participate.

(b)         Students who belong to Beta 2010 June intake (who have taken Legal Skills subject in Trimester 3, 2011/2012 but have never participated in Multimedia University Law Moot Competition) – OPTIONAL to participate.

* Students who had participated in the previous Multimedia University Law Moot Competition are not allowed to participate in this competition.

A very hearty welcome to all the participants/potential participants of MMU Law Moot Competition 2012/2013.

There are a few important things to be noted by the participants of Law Moot Competition.

First of all, this is the official blog of MMU Law Moot Competition 2012/2013. Matters or informations pertaining to the Law Moot Competition will be announced here. Hence, all the participants are required to have a frequent check on the updates here from time to time. The website would be: http://www.mmulawmoot.blogspot.com/

Participants are also reminded that the DUE DATE for registration is on 13th AUGUST 2012 (MONDAY) and hence, please register yourself now to avoid any inconvenience. Students who fail to do so will be subjected to disciplinary action.

Each team shall comprise 2 members only.

Participants are required to register by submitting and attaching their Full Names, ID, Email address and Contact No. to our official mailing address. Please notify the leader for each of the team by putting BOLD to the name of the person. The 1st name on your list will be the Lead Counsel while 2nd name will be the Junior Counsel. Please attach a file containing the table as below and mail it to our official mailing address.

Dear participants,


We would like to apologize for the delays in timeline of the competition. The delay was due to some unforeseen circumstances. We are truly sorry for all the inconveniences caused. 


Some announcements for the competition:


Submission and Exchange of memorials:
Date: 4th Jan 2012 (Wednesday)
Time: 6pm to 7pm
Venue: OR Room


Please take note that each team is required to submit 6 copies of memorials. 
Final Round will be held as follows:

English Moot Competition

Date: 14th January 2012 (Saturday)

Time: 8.30am-11.30am

Venue: Multimedia University Moot Court

Bahasa Malaysia Moot Competition and Award Ceremonies

Date: 14th January 2012 (Saturday)

Time: 12.30am- 4.00pm

Venue: Multimedia University Moot Court

Withdrawal and disqualification of Team 47
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are sorry to announce that Temn 47 will no longer be participating in the competition. After discussion by lecturers, Team 54, the runner up for  English Respondent category will be replacing  Team 47 as the English respondent team in the Final Round of MMU Law Moot Competition 2011/12.
